Coesia completes acquisition in the USA

Coesia Group has further strengthened its leadership in the US market with the acquisition of MGS Machine Corporation (Minneapolis), a company specialising in the manufacture of automatic packaging solutions for the Life Science-Pharma, Food, Personal Care and Cosmetics sectors.

Following its takeover of the US company, which was founded in 1979 and has revenues of US $28 million and around 120 employees, Coesia now has six manufacturing facilities and more than 900 employees in North America.

Italy-based Coesia Group is a leader in the field of automatic packaging machines and materials, industrial process solutions and precision gears with around 6,800 employees and estimated 2017 revenues of €1.6 billion. Around 97-98% of its turnover is generated outside Italy through an international network of 96 business units, including 57 manufacturing facilities across 32 countries.

A couple of months ago it took over the two British firms Molins and Cerulean, strengthening its position in the global tobacco machinery industry.
