21 Investimenti owned by Benetton acquires majority shareholding in Carton Pack

21 Investimenti, a private equity fund owned by Alessandro Benetton, has acquired a majority stake in the Italian packaging company Carton Pack (Rutigliano, Bari) through the fund 21 Investimenti III.

Carton Pack designs, produces and sells packaging for the food sector, specialising in particular in the fruit and vegetable segment.

It posted a turnover of around €80 million in 2017 (€75 million in 2016), 30% of which was generated in international markets. The company has seen steady growth rates and doubled its revenues over the last six years.

Following the acquisition, it will continue to be helmed by brothers Gianni and Giuseppe Leone.
