Amadori launches its new 100% organic chicken production chain
Amadori, one of Italy’s largest poultry producers with revenues of more than €1.2 billion, is ready to launch its new integrated organic chicken production chain in an area spanning the provinces of Barletta, Andria, Trani and Bari in the Puglia region.
The Amadori project will involve the creation of a 100% organic supply chain covering raw material production, the feed mill (already in operation in Cerignola) and the poultry farms in cooperation with the individual farmers who decide to take part in the mission.
The 100% Italian free-range chickens will be fed with non-GM vegetable feed and processed using solely renewable energy with a system for control and traceability of every step of the production cycle.
The plan was presented on 7 February in Spinazzola in the presence of the stakeholders and representatives of the regional and provincial institutions.
