Barilla posts growth in turnover and profits

The Barilla group posted very positive results in 2017, including revenues of €3.5 million (up 2% year on year) and net profits of €241 million (compared to €201 million in 2006).

In view of its positive financial position to 31 December (€126 million compared to €66 million to 31/12/2016), the Parma-based food giant has made optimistic forecasts for 2018.

The Group also made €218 million of investments in 2017 (6.3% of turnover), including €40 million on R&D alone.

It operates directly in 26 countries with 28 production sites and exports its products to more than 100 countries.
