Birra Peroni: higher production and sustainability
Sustainability and production go hand in hand at Peroni’s brewing facilities.
In ten years of operations the Vigevano, Rome-based company owned by Japanese group Asahi has lowered its CO2 emissions by 33% and the water consumption of its production processes by 42%. Over the same period it has raised its output to reach 5.6 million hectolitres in 2017, a year-on-year increase of 14%.
The company is also close to achieving its ambitious aim of recycling 100% of its production process waste after reaching a level of 99.6% last year (up 0.6% on 2016).
