B&R, celebrates thirty years of success in Italy

Cutting-edge technologies, a philosophy of interconnection and integration as part of a smart manufacturing vision, the human factor and an ability to forge partnerships with the most competitive Italian companies in world markets: these are the four key factors that have enabled B&R to establish itself and grow in Italy, where it has been operating for 30 years.

The Austrian engineering company specialising in control electronics and industrial automation systems, which since July has been part of ABB Group, celebrated the anniversary with its customers and employees.

This three-decade-long success story is not only a result of B&R’s product excellence but also the expertise of its personnel and their dedication to their work and client companies,” explained Nicoletta Ghironi, Marketing and Communication manager.

At the celebration press conference, a number of Italian companies described their experiences of fruitful collaboration with B&R, including Ocme, Sidel, Datalogic, Elettrosystem, Uteco Converting, WM Wrapping Machinery, Coproget / Mancin Automazioni, Fedegari Autoclavi and Moss.

During the event, B&R Automazione Industriale’s Managing Director Luca Galluzzi illustrated the highlights of the company’s operations so far in 2017, including 13% growth in revenues and an increase of 13 staff members (to a total of around 100 employees in Italy), all of which indicate a company in good health and with a confident outlook for the future.

In particular, Galluzzi announced the imminent launch of an innovation that is expected to revolutionise the world of product handling and packaging and is due to be unveiled at the exhibition SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg in late November.
