Cantina Bolzano builds new CasaClimaWine certified production site

The Cantina Bolzano winery is building a new state-of-the-art eco-friendly production site in the San Maurizio area just outside Bolzano.

The new facility will combine functionality with eco-sustainability and will blend harmoniously into the landscape. It will extend over 5 completely underground levels, allowing the natural slope of the land to be exploited for the wine production process and will be the first to have CasaClimaWine^® certification.

Key features include exterior insulation, an independent pellet-burning plant for the production of the necessary thermal energy, and heat recovery and reuse to reduce energy consumption by 45% in all stages of production.

The new building will extend over an area of around 20,000 square metres and will be completed in time for the 2018 harvest.
