Cargill expands in the pet food segment

US firm Cargill, a global giant in the sector of animal feed, seeds and financial services for agriculture, has reached an agreement for the acquisition of Pro-Pet (Ohio), a pet food producer with more than 150 employees and three production facilities.

The Minneapolis-based multinational is continuing its expansion policy fuelled by the results it achieved in 2017, including total revenues of US $110 billion.

In 1962 Cargill began operating in Italy, where it has made a number of acquisitions over the years and now has around 700 employees.
