CG Corp Global makes acquisitions in Kazakhstan

CG Corp Global, a Singapore-based group with 120 companies and 76 brands operating in the food industry, hotel business, telecommunications and electronics sectors, has acquired the Lotus Food Company’s instant noodle production plant in Turkestan, Kazakhstan, for US $15 million.

CG Corp Global plans to increase production capacity under its own Wai-Wai noodles brand, adopt international quality standards and expand the workforce from the current 22 to 150 employees.

The Singapore-based group, which already produces 2 billion noodles a day, believes that the investment will allow it to export products to Russia and the central Asian states.

CG Corp Global also plans to build a new spice production line at the plant.
