Consorzio Cavit expands in Italy and abroad

Cavit, a Trentino-based consortium of 13 local wineries with 7,000 hectares of vineyards and 4,500 individual winegrowers, closed 2017/2018 with revenues of €190.5 million, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%.

Domestic sales grew by 14%, particularly, in the Horeca sector, and now account for 21.8% of total turnover.

Exports made up the remaining 78% of turnover, with North America firmly established as the main outlet market, while Benelux, Eastern Europe and Russia also saw growth.

The consortium also recently entered the Chinese market, where it continues to consolidate its position.
