EU sees growth in beef and poultry production
According to figures published by the European Commission, beef production is expected to increase to 8 million tonnes in 2018 (up 1.6% on 2017).
Poultry production is also set to rise to 14.9 million tonnes (compared to 14.6 million tonnes in 2017), an increase linked to the decline in imports from Brazil.
