Eurial acquires German company Rotkäppchen Peter Jülich Group
Through its dairy division Eurial, the giant French agri-food cooperative Agrial has announced that in January 2019 it will complete the acquisition of Rotkäppchen Peter Jülich Group, a German cow and goat cheese producer which operates under the brand names Rotkäppchen, Rüdenger Badejunge and Der Grüne Altenburger.
Based in Dortmund (North Rhine-Westphalia), the company has a turnover of €40 million and 138 employees. The acquisition expands the product range of Eurial, one of Europe’s goat cheese producers operating under the Soignon brand, and strengthens the company’s position in Europe.
Eurial has facilities in Italy, Spain, USA and Germany and expects to increase its turnover, which in 2017 reached €2.3 billion, 35% of which was generated abroad (out of the cooperative’s total turnover of €5.5 billion).
