Ferrero opens a new logistics hub in France

Ferrero has opened a new logistics and co-packing hub at Saint-Quentin Fallavier (Lyons), to warehouse a variety of the Group's brands on air-conditioned racks at 14-18 °C.

The facility, with a surface area of 30,000 sq.m., includes an automated temperature-controlled co-packing department and, with its improved flexibility in packing, will be able serve the Group's various sales channels (retail and e-commerce) even faster than before.

This investment supplements the five year plan of 38 million euro required to bring the Villers-Ecalles, close to Rouen, fully on-line.

In 2016, Ferrero France recorded turnover for 1.24 billion euro, with a workforce of 1,346 employees.
