Ferrero opens the Singapore Innovation Center

On 14 June, Italian chocolate and confectionery giant Ferrero opened its first Asian Innovation Centre in Singapore with the aim of strengthening its global position in terms of innovation in the fields of health, nutrition, new raw materials and product research and development, with a strong focus on the needs of consumers.

When fully operational, the Singapore Innovation Center will employ more than 70 people and will serve to further the group’s growth strategies in South East Asia, a region where it already has two production plants in China and India (along with those in Australia, Turkey and Russia) and an extensive sales network.

The new centre is supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board, a multidisciplinary team of experts in food science, biotechnologies, consumer needs, materials science and design, and will complement the Pietro Ferrero research centre in Alba, Italy.
