Fileni, a leading Marche-based poultry producer, is launching an ambitious project to return 50% of its production to the Marche region.

The food group aims to expand its production centre in Vallesina through a 10 million euro investment, part of a broader plan involving the allocation of the far higher figure of 80 million euros by 2020. The project aims to create 16 hi-tech facilities, including 10 for organic production, on a total site area of 83 hectares. The first 6 production sites, which will bring together the operations currently based the Molise and Veneto regions, will be ready by the end of 2017. This will result in an expansion of the current workforce of 1,800.

Fileni has an annual turnover of around 340 million euros and is planning to open a third production centre for both conventional and organic production involving the expenditure of a further 17 million euros.
