Forno D’Asolo acquired by private equity fund BC Partner

Forno d’Asolo, a Treviso, Italy-based company specialising in frozen bakery and confectionery products controlled since 2014 by Alessandro Benetton’s firm 21 Investimenti, has been acquired by the private equity fund BC Partners.

An outstanding example of Italian excellence, Forno d’Asolo has seen growth in revenue from €74 million in 2013 to an anticipated €133 million in 2018 together with a significant upturn in EBITDA (from €12.8 million in 2013 to an expected figure of almost €25 million in 2018).

The company has also more than doubled its workforce from 130 to 280 employees.

In 2016, Forno d’Asolo acquired La Donatella, a leading Italian producer of frozen pastry, and set up a commercial subsidiary in the USA and a branch in Germany to strengthen its international presence. As a result, its export percentage has almost tripled in the space of four years (up from 3% to 8%).
