Grupo Calvo doubles processing capacity in El Salvador
Spanish tuna giant Grupo Calvo has invested $38 million in El Salvador with the aim of doubling its production in the country.
The expansion project involves building a new production floor and cold storage system with a capacity of between 4,000 and 6,000 tonnes.
This investment follows the $160 million that Grupo Calvo has already invested in El Salvador during its fifteen-year market presence.
The group operates in Italy under the Nostromo brand name and posted revenues of almost €620 million in 2017.
