Handl Tyrol opens fourth production facility

Handl Tyrol Group, an Austrian company that has been producing speck, ham and other meat-based original Tyrolean specialities since 1902, has officially started up its new factory in Haiming (Tyrol).

The facility, the fourth owned by the Handl family, is one of the most modern speck production units in Europe.

It stands on an 8.8 hectare site including a 20,000 square metre production area.

The 60 million euro investment further strengthens Handl Tyrol’s position in the global marketplace. It expects to post a turnover of €128 million in 2018 and has an export share of 60%.
