I croissant Bauli sbarcano in India
Bauli recently opened its first croissant factory in Baramati, India, a country where it has been operating since 2009 through a joint venture with Dream Bake.
The €34 million investment is the first step in a business plan that will involve a total expenditure of €80 million over a period of 5 years. The new facility has an annual capacity of 12,000 tons of croissants (17,000 when fully operational), a quantity that within three years will make India the company’s second largest market after Italy.
The Verona-based company sells a range of around 200 products in 70 countries worldwide and in 2016 posted revenues of €447 million (EBITDA €24 million and net profits €4.2 million).
