ICAM posts record turnover in 2016
The historic Italian chocolate brand ICAM posted a record turnover of 146.5 million euros in 2016, 8.5% up on the previous year.
More than 50% of turnover was generated from exports, which totalled 80 million euros with the highest sales in the UK, the USA, Germany, France and the Scandinavian countries.
The biggest contributions came from the private label segment (52 million euros, 23.8% up on the previous year) and organic products (75.8 million euros, up 30% from the 59 million euros of 2015).
In 2017 the company will continue to invest in new technology at its Orsenigo factory, a model for Industry 4.0 that has attracted greenfield investments of 60 million euros.
