Illy Group posts record financial figures in 2016
Illy Group posted record financial figures in 2016, including revenues of €505 million (up 5.2% on 2015) and net profits of €10.56 million.
All the Group’s business units reported growth: the coffee roasting company illycaffè (90% of revenues), the premium chocolate producer Domori (around €13.5 million, +15%), the luxury tea maker Dammann Frères (€32 million, +2.3%), the marron glacé producer Agrimontana (€18.3 million, +10%) and the Mastrojanni winery, renowned for its Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino wines (€2 million).
In the tea segment, Dammann Frères has opened its seventh boutique store in Paris which generates net profits of more than €2 million. In the wine segment, Mastrojanni has expanded its Montalcino estate from 24 to 33 hectares and is negotiating further acquisitions. The group also recently signed an Italian distribution agreement with the Taittinger champagne house valued at an estimated €3 million.
