IMA acquires 70% stake in Ciemme

IMA has acquired a 70% stake in Ciemme, a company based in Albavilla (Como) that produces and sells automatic end-of-line machinery for the packaging sector.

The €14 million operation is expected to be completed by the end of June and will enable both companies to achieve further technological and commercial goals in the sector.

IMA in particular aims to establish industrial synergies with the flexible packaging businesses of Ilapak, Teknoweb and Eurosicma so as to offer complete lines with strong growth potential.

In 2018 Ciemme expects to register a turnover of around €12 million and an EBITDA of €2.7 million.
