IMA Group posts double-digit growth (+12.8%) in the first 9 months of 2018

The IMA Group posted consolidated revenues of €1,075.5 million in the first nine months of 2018, 12.8% up on the €953.6 million generated to 30 September 2017.

The other economic indices also saw growth, including EBITDA which was up from €116.7 million to €130.7 million, EBIT which rose from €87.3 million to €92.9 million and pre-tax profit which soared from €77.2 million to €98.6 million. The newly acquired companies Petroncini and TMC, consolidated respectively in the months of April and May 2018, also contributed to these results by generating total revenue of €34.9 million.

Given the consistency of consolidated orders to 30 September 2018 (€1,047 million) and the strong performance in terms of new order acquisition (€1,216.8 million), end-of-year results are expected to see further growth with revenues reaching more than €1.5 billion and EBITDA in excess of €250 million.

At the same time as approval of the balance sheet results, IMA also signed an agreement with a newco owned by Thomas Becker, a highly experienced professional in the automatic machinery sector, for the sale of 60% of the Filling Business of the companies Erca, Hassia, Hamba-Gasti and Ima Dairy & Food USA (automatic machinery and integrated systems for forming, filling and sealing of food products). The deal has a total value of €18 million to be paid at the date of closure, expected to be before the end of 2018. The companies have more than 500 employees and in 2018 posted total revenues of around €130 million.
