IMA Group reports 9% growth in first 9 months of 2017

IMA Group closed the first nine months of 2017 with good results in all its business areas thanks to strong sales of automatic machines and complete processing and packaging lines. Consolidated revenues totalled €953.6 million, 9% up on the €875.2 million of the same period in 2016.

EBITDA also rose to €116.7 million (compared to €99.2 million to 30 September 2016), as did EBIT which reached €87.3 million (compared to €71.8 million in 2016). After finalising numerous deals across the various business areas, in the first nine months of 2017 the company’s consolidated order book reached €923.3 million (+5.3%), while orders received totalled €1,106.4 million, an increase of 7%.  The strong performance in terms of orders continued in October, fuelling expectations of further year-on-year growth in 2017. The IMA Group is forecasting revenues of more than €1.4 billion and an EBITDA of around €210 million.

Over the next few months IMA will continue to work on consolidating new products, thereby boosting the Group’s innovative capacity and strengthening its positions in the world’s largest growth areas,” commented Alberto Vacchi, Chairman and CEO of IMA. “On this basis, we are confident of achieving our targets and maintaining the significant levels of cash generation posted in 2016.”
