Inalpi begins exporting to China and enters the organic segment

Inalpi, an Italian dairy company based in Moretta (Cuneo), has signed an agreement with the Prize Market distribution chain to export powdered milk produced in the Piedmont region to China.

The first container of 20 tonnes of powdered milk for sale in supermarkets in Hong Kong was shipped in July this year.

The operation is part of the Italian company’s internationalisation plan aimed at increasing its export share from 15% to 40% within five years (in 2018 it also began exporting to Serbia, Romania, Palestine and Japan).

Inalpi expects to generate revenues of €168 million in 2018, a sharp increase on the €140 million posted in 2017. This growth was largely driven by sales in the organic segment where it has already launched a line of cheeses for babies.
