Irca acquires Dutch chocolatier Dobla

Irca (Varese, Italy), one of the leading European producers of chocolate and baking ingredients owned by US-based Carlyle group since 2017, has acquired Dutch chocolatier Dobla.

The merger will result in the creation of one of the largest centres for the production of high-end ingredients for confectionery, bakery and ice cream production with over 800 employees worldwide and projected total sales of more than €330 million in 2018.

Dobla has three production sites in Belgium, the United States and Vietnam and sells its products in more than 80 countries worldwide. It posted revenue of €51 million in 2017.
