Krones strengthens its position in the PET preform industry with MHT

Krones, a German group specialising in blow moulding, filling and packaging technology, has acquired MHT Holding and its subsidiaries, including MHT Mold & Hotrunner Technology, a company based in Hochheim (Germany) that supplies moulds and hot runner systems for injection moulding and services to the PET preform industry.

The company has 125 employees and revenues of around €25 million and will maintain its headquarters in Hochheim with the current management.

In April 2018, Krones acquired Swiss firm Integrated Plastics Systems (IPS), a company that is likewise focused on providing turkey PET injection moulding solutions for the beverage industry.
