Labrenta posts strong revenue growth thanks to sales of No Glue System closures
Italian company Labrenta posted exceptional growth in 2017 driven by sales of its No Glue System closures (150 million pieces sold in a year).
The company specialising in food closures based in Breganze (VI) posted 14% year-on-year sales growth in 2017 to reach €7.3 million and continued its strong performance in Q1 2018 (+20%).
In 2017 Labrenta also completed the acquisition of its German rival Innova Korken of Schwebheim (Bavaria), while further M&As are planned in 2018-2019 in the United States, one of the company’s most important markets.
This growth trend has also led to the need for a new 12,000 cubic metre facility located alongside the existing plant and involving an investment of approximately €1 million.
The site will host new production lines and new finished product warehouses.
The enormous popularity of the No Glue System closures is largely driven by environmental considerations coupled with their practicality and exceptional capacity to preserve the aroma of spirits and liqueurs.
Labrenta invests around 3% of its annual turnover in research and development.
