Lindt excels in Italy
With total revenues of around €214 million (7% of the group total) and a production of 2 billion Lindor chocolates a year, 70% of which are exported, the business unit located in Induno Olona (Varese) is an all-Italian centre of excellence within the Lindt group.
The R&D department in particular includes 3 maîtres chocolatiers and 10 food technologists who develop 500 new recipes each year.
The Italian facility boasts cutting-edge production lines which operate according to Industry 4.0 criteria and a “zero accident, zero defect, zero failure” philosophy.
The company’s outstanding performance has prompted Lindt to continue to invest in Italy, expanding the workforce from 400 employees in 2012 to the current level of 700.
