Mancini Pastificio Agricolo expands its production plant
Mancini Pastificio Agricolo, a pasta producer with an 80-year history based in the central Italian town of Fermo, recently opened its newly expanded and refurbished factory.
With a low environmental footprint and an increase in floor space from 1,000 to 2,000 square metres, the factory is an outstanding example of circular economy principles that involve controlling all steps in the production process from cultivation through to processing and packaging.
The company aims to reach an output of 1.8-2 million kg of pasta/year within five years (it produced 800,000 kg in 2017).
Its turnover figures are equally impressive, including €3 million posted last year and growth forecasts of 20% by 2019.
The company exports just over 10% of its production volumes but already has ambitious international development plans, including direct investments in 2019 in the USA, Japan, Germany and France.
