Marks&Spencer expands its food business
Marks&Spencer, the historic British chain of department stores (turnover of 1.22 billion euros) is set to open 36 new retail outlets over the next six months, including 34 devoted to food and two combining clothing with food&beverage products.
The operation is part of a five-year investment plan aimed at expanding the food business, the segment that the company considers most profitable, to reach a total of 200 food stores by 2022.
