Mars devotes 1 billion dollars to climate and sustainability

The US group Mars has unveiled its Sustainable in a Generation Plan, a $1 billion initiative aimed at addressing the most urgent climatic threats facing the planet.

For this purpose, Mars has officially announced its goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 67% by 2050 along with a commitment to improving the working life of a million people along its chain of value by promoting higher earnings, respect for human rights and equal opportunities.

The group will also continue its efforts in the field of safety, including food safety, product and ingredient development and responsible marketing.

With total revenues of around $35 billion, Mars operates in more than 80 countries and is renowned worldwide as the producer of the famous brands M&M, Snickers, Twix, Milky Way, Dove, Pedigree, Royal Canin, Whiskas and many more.
