M&As between cold cut meat producers: Bombieri acquires Stella 81

The Verona-based cold cut meat producer Bombieri has acquired Stella 81 for €6.5 million in an auction. The acquisition covers the two production sites, the company’s registered brand names (including the main brand Stella 81) and equipment for fresh meat processing and cured meat production and packaging.

The transaction will enable Bombieri, which specialises in cooked ham, to expand its product range into new channels and export markets. The company currently has an annual turnover of €30 million and mainly sells to wholesalers.
