PepsiCo acquires Israel’s SodaStream
PepsiCo has agreed to acquire all outstanding shares of Israel’s SodaStream International for a total of $3.2 billion in cash.
SodaStream’s goal of reducing waste fits in well with Pepsico’s Performance with Purpose philosophy aimed at making more nutritious products while limiting its environmental footprint.
PepsiCo generated more than $63 billion in net revenue in 2017, driven by a complementary food and beverage portfolio that includes Frito-Lay, Gatorade, Pepsi-Cola, Quaker and Tropicana.
SodaStream is the number one sparkling water brand in volume in the world and the leading manufacturer and distributor of Sparkling Water Makers, solutions that enable consumers to transform ordinary tap water into sparkling water and flavoured sparkling water in seconds.
Products are available at more than 80,000 individual retail stores across 45 countries.
