Pernigotti is not up for sale and will remain in Italy
The day after meeting Italian prime minister Giuseppe Conte and the minister of economic development Luigi di Maio, the Turkish company Toksoz which owns Pernigotti declared that neither the Italian brand name nor the company are currently up for sale, ruling out the idea of a potential acquisition by Sperlari.
Toksoz also confirmed its decision to cease its own production activities at the Novi Ligure site and instead to outsource its Italian operations, preferably by identifying business partners who would be interested in acquiring or managing the production assets in Novi.
Officially founded in 1868, Pernigotti was acquired by the Turkish group in 2013.
