Rigoni di Asiago: Swiss firm Kharis Capital acquires 42.7% stake

Kharis Capital, a major Swiss private equity firm focusing on investments in consumer markets and with experience in the food & beverage sector, has finalised its acquisition of a minority stake (42.7%) in Rigoni di Asiago, one of Italy’s leading fruit spread producers.

Fondo Italiano d’Investimento gave up its 35.55% stake in the business, while the remaining share was sold by the Rigoni family’s holding company Giochele.

The transaction is valued at €10 million and will serve to inject new vigour into the Asiago-based company, especially in international markets.

Rigoni also has a strong position in the frozen organic fruit sector with more than 1,400 hectares of land in Bulgaria. It owns the brands Fiordifrutta, Nocciolata and Mielbio.
