RPC Superfos wins Best Label Design 2019
RPC Superfos (Bologna) received the prestigious Best Label Design 2019 award during the 13th annual IMDA Awards Competition organised by the In-Mould Decorating Association (USA).
The winning label was commissioned by Heinz for its vegetable soups, now sold in a 400 ml SuperLock® pot made by the Bologna-based company. The SuperLock® pot – in combination with the autoclave-resistant oxygen barrier labels – allows for post-filling sterilisation at up to 120°C for 80 minutes.
The lid is decorated with a standard IML, while the pots are sealed with aluminium film for a long shelf life and are also microwave safe. Both are injection moulded and 100% recyclable. The artwork was developed in close collaboration with Heinz and gives the soup pot a striking, vivid design, while the flawless quality of the label is largely the merit of the Turkey-based label supplier Korsini SAF.
