Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo inaugurates its new premises
The Santa Margherita (VE) winemaking group inaugurated its new headquarters on 7 July, named after Vittorio Emanuele Marzotto, the oldest son of the founder, Gaetano Marzotto, following the restoration and conversion of the old buildings, which date back to the Thirties.
The plant boasts a cutting edge bottling line and a new storage area, to upgrade Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo's production to the ever more complex and diversified demand of the world market.
The bottling department, the jewel of the crown of the new plant, covers an area of 2600 sq.m. and will enable the factory to bottle up to 26,000 units/hour of sparkling and still wines - a considerable increase over its previous capacity of 14,000 units/hour.
The entire plant has been designed with water and energy savings a priority objective.
