Segafredo Zanetti acquires Brisbane distributor

Caffè Segafredo Zanetti has acquired 100% ownership of its Brisbane-based Queensland distributor Tru Blue.

The operation will enable the group to fully exploit the enormous potential of the Asia-Pacific region, where it has seen its revenues grow from zero to €70 million in the space of three years, equivalent to 7.6% of consolidated turnover (€917 million in 2016). Segafredo Zanetti Brisbane joins the existing Australian branches located in Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.

In the first quarter of 2017, sales in the Asia-Pacific region grew by 13.2% (€18.7 million), equivalent to 8% of consolidated revenues (€233.6 million, +7.1%).
