Swiss firm Barry Callebaut acquires chocolate manufacturer Inforum
Barry Callebaut (Zurich), one of the world’s leading chocolate and cocoa product manufacturers, has acquired Moscow-based chocolate, coatings and fillings producer Inforum as part of its efforts to strengthen its position in the Russian market.
Inforum operates a production facility in Kasimov, 285 km southeast of Moscow, and employs more than 300 people.
Last year it posted revenues of €77 million. Barry Callebaut has been operating a chocolate manufacturing plant in Moscow Oblast since 2007.
