Tesco acquires Booker
Tesco, the British supermarket giant, has acquired Booker, one of the largest wholesalers in the UK.
This 4.5 bn euro operation will make Tesco as large as Sainsbury, Morrisons, Marks & Spencer and Ocado together, with an estimated annual turnover of 200 billion GBP.
Tesco has 3200 outlets in the UK, while Booker supplies 117,000 independent shops.
