Tetra Pak delivers half a million Tetra Rex Bio-based cartons
Tetra Pak has passed a new milestone in the field of sustainability - half a billion Tetra Rex® Bio-based cartons made entirely from renewable materials.
Introduced for the first time in October 2014, the packaging is manufactured solely from Forest Stewardship Council certified paperboard together with plastics derived from sugar cane. The plant-based plastics used by Tetra Pak are produced by Brazilian chemicals company Braskem.
Tetra Pak has also announced the opening of a new sustainability display at the Museum of Brands in London.
