Tropical fruit consumption increases in Italy
Sales of tropical fruit in Italy grew by 7.6% in 2016 to reach a total revenue of €650 million.
In the 12 months to April 2017, sales totalled €466 million of bananas (+4.4%, ), €75 million of pineapples (+6.4%), €23 million of avocados (+41%), €22 million of mangoes (+38%), €6.6 million of coconuts and €9.6 million of papayas (+83%).
