Turkish packaging industry posts first-half growth
According to the findings of the Italian Trade Agency ITA’s Istanbul branch based on data supplied by the Turkish sector association, the Turkish packaging industry registered an export surplus of $539 million in the first half of 2018, up 8% in volume and 17% in value over the same period in 2017.
The top export markets were Germany, the UK, Iraq, Italy and Israel, in that order. Imports also performed strongly (+7% in volume and +13% in value).
