Unibon acquires Grandi Salumifici Italiani

Unibon (Modena), an industrial holding belonging to Lega Coop, has acquired the stake owned by Senfer in Is Holding, which controls 100% of Grandi Salumifici Italiani (GSI), a leading producer of cured meats and processed pork products.

Unibon, which already held a 50% interest in GSI, thereby becomes the sole owner of a business with revenues of €650 million, 1,500 employees and 13 plants located in Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany and Trentino Alto Adige. The transaction is expected to be closed by the end of February subject to the approval of the Antitrust Authority.
