Valdo acquires stake in I Magredi
Valdo (Valdobbiadene), a company that has been operating in the Prosecco and Spumante wine market for over ninety years, has acquired a stake in the Pordenone-based winery I Magredi renowned for the production of Friuli DOC red wines.
Valdo, which controls an area of 155 hectares of vineyards and exports more than 50% of its output, sees the acquisition as an opportunity to expand its production of prosecco in Friuli, where it intends to invest €2 million on upgrading its picking, crushing and bottling facilities.
Along with the approximately 16 hectares of prosecco vineyards at Domanins, I Magredi also controls the 55 hectares of the Cà Ronesca estate located in the Collio area (Brescia).
Both brands use state-of-the-art winemaking techniques and facilities to produce high-quality wines that maintain the typical characteristics of the local area and are popular both in Italy and abroad.
