Italian Packaging Technology Award 2015: the winners visit Italy

From 30 November to 4 December, four university students from Mexico and the United States will take part in guided visits of packaging machinery manufacturing companies.

From 2 to 4 December, two Mexican students from the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Nuevo León (UANL) and two American students from the University of Florida and the Rochester Institute of Technology will be visiting Italy as winners of the Italian Packaging Technology Award 2015.

Organised by the Italian Trade Agency ICE in cooperation with Ucima, the initiative rewards outstanding research ideas in the field of innovative packaging technology.  The delegation will also include two leading American journalists, William Baker (Target Magazine) and Matt Reynolds (Packaging World, Packaging & Processing OEM).

On 30 November and 1 December there will be two training days devoted to Italian manufacturing held at the Carlo Cattaneo - LIUC University in Castellanza.

During their stay in Italy, the students will have a chance to find out more about the Italian packaging industry by visiting leading companies including SACMI, Easysnap, Marchesini Group and Tetrapak.

The purpose of the Italian Packaging Technology Award is to give outstanding students from prestigious universities all over the world the chance to discover the most advanced Italian industrial technology, thereby promoting a direct knowledge of Italian machinery amongst the people who in the near future will occupy leadership roles at local client companies.

During the Italian trip, the delegation will also visit the Ferrari Museum in Modena.
