The collective coordinated by UCIMA and ICE-Agenzia will be in Vietnam from 20 to 22 March to promote the excellence of “Made in Italy” packaging technology.
Seven companies coordinated by Ucima and ITA are taking part in the exhibition Propak East Africa, which will continue until 1 March.
Ucima will be taking part in the important packaging and processing show with a delegation of 11 Italian companies.
This marks 6.7% growth on 2016. The Italian market continues to perform strongly with a further 8% upturn.
The general meeting of Ucima (Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association) has elected the members of the Board who will work together with President Enrico Aureli and Vice-Presidents Andrea Malagoli and Luciano Sottile to head the association.
One of the driving sectors of Italian industry, it has posted further 6.6% growth. Exports make up 80.1% of sales, equivalent to 5.3 billion euros (up 5.8% on 2015). The domestic Italian market has seen an excellent performance with 10% growth in turnover to more than 1.3 billion euros. Food and Beverage are the main outlet sectors.
Over the next few days the Italian automatic packaging machinery manufacturers will be promoting Italian innovation at three major trade fairs in Mexico, Russia and Thailand.
In the first three months of this year, turnover in the Italian market grew by +6.5%, with orders up by +9.9%. Export sales have also grown by 13%, following the relatively low growth of 3% in the last two quarters of 2016.
The country pavilion coordinated by UCIMA and the Italian Trade Agency ICE will host Italian packaging technology in Vietnam from 21 to 23 March.
Based on the preliminary results published by the Ucima Research Department, turnover is expected to exceed 6.3 billion euros.
The Italian Automatic Packaging Machinery Association will be present at Pack Expo, the industry-leading event in North America, with promotional initiatives for Italian packaging.
