Enrico Aureli nominated for chairmanship of Ucima

Enrico Aureli, CEO of Aetna Group Spa, is the nominee for the chairmanship of Ucima - Italian Automatic Packaging Machinery Manufacturers’ Association.

Following consultations with member companies, the Designation Committee responsible for proposing a new chairman and consisting of Saverio Gamberini (MG2), Luciano Sottile (Goglio) and Dario Perenze (Videojet), put forward the nomination of Aureli to the Association’s Executive Board. Aureli has been a member of the Executive Board of Ucima since 2013 and of the Board of Directors of Ipack-Ima Srl since 2015.

The Executive Board expressed its approval for Enrico Aureli’s nomination to be submitted to the Members’ Meeting to be held in June, where he will be elected as the successor of Giuseppe Lesce to lead the Association for the four-year period 2016-2020.

Enrico Aureli, 42, has a degree in engineering from Milan Polytechnic and in 2001 began working for Aetna Group, a company specialising in end-of-line solutions based in Villa Verucchio (Rimini). The group operates under the brand names Robopac, Robopac Sistemi, Dimac, Prasmatic, Imsb, Rotac and TopTier and has eight international branches (in France, UK, Germany, USA, Russia, China, Spain and Brazil) and six manufacturing facilities (four in the Italian Packaging Valley, one in the USA and one in Brazil).

From 2005 to 2009 Enrico Aureli served as Chairman of Aetna Group U.S.A. Inc., before being appointed as CEO. After managing Robopac and Robopac Sistemi, in 2011 he took the helm of Aetna Group Spa as CEO. Since 2008 he has also been a member of the Board of SCM, a world-leading company in the sector of machinery for working wood and other materials.
