Italian packaging companies host a delegation of Indian buyers
The Italian Automatic Packaging Machinery Manufacturers' Association, with the support of the Ministry for Economic Development, has organised a trade mission of Indian buyers to visit Italian companies
17 Indian top managers interested in purchasing Italian packaging machinery and technology are currently in Italy and will stay until tomorrow, 12 December.
Organised by Ucima with the support of the Ministry for Economic Development and Federmacchine, the mission brings together Indian buyers and some of the largest and most dynamic Italian manufacturers of machinery and technology for primary and secondary packaging for foodstuffs, beverages, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
The Italian companies Camozzi (Brescia), Caveco (Brescia), CMZ Sistemi Elettrici (Treviso), Comek (Brescia), Electric 80 (Reggio Emilia), Famar Packaging (Bologna), Ima Group (Bologna), Imball (Bologna), Marchesini Group (Bologna), Sacmi Group (Bologna) and Zanasi (Modena) are hosting, either on their own premises or at the headquarters of Ucima in Modena, the top managers of 15 Indian companies with a total turnover of 7.5 billion euro.
Indian buyers are showing strong interest in Italian technology, which has sold well in the subcontinent over the last year.
In 2011 the turnover generated by Italian exports to India totalled 95 million euro, 52% up on the previous year.
